Positions

One position is available on a competitive basis each year in the Glaucoma Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, Minnesota.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the Glaucoma Fellowship, you must have successfully completed an accredited residency in ophthalmology. U.S. and Canadian applicants must be eligible for certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or both.

International fellowship applicants must have equivalent training and have passed the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) examination.

How to apply

The academic year begins in July.

The application and all supporting documentation must be submitted by Sept. 9 of the year preceding the program start date.

You must apply through SF Match, a third-party application service. Please do not send materials to Mayo Clinic Ophthalmology.

1. To apply to the program, visit the SF Match website. 
2. Appointments are made through the Ophthalmology Fellowship Match, which is sponsored by SF Match.
3. Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited to visit Mayo Clinic for a personal interview with the program director and selected faculty. Interviews will be conducted in October and November the year prior to the appointment.
