Meet The Faculty
From the program director
Welcome to the Hematopathology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota! Choosing a subspecialty fellowship that is right for you is a daunting task. I hope I can convince you that choosing hemepath at Mayo will set you up for success, regardless of your career goals.
The Division of Hematopathology at Mayo Clinic has over 25 hematopathology faculty members, most of whom do clinical service full-time. We are a group with diverse clinical and research interests, all of whom love to teach! We sign out and publish on a variety of topics including lymphoid and myeloid neoplasia, hemoglobinopathies, molecular hematopathology, flow cytometry, coagulation, and more.
The unique combination of a tertiary medical center and an international reference laboratory provides a large volume and diversity of cases in both benign and malignant hematopathology for our fellows. Because of our exceptional laboratory and allied health staff, your time will be spent on high-level activities such as independent case preview, report dictation, and one-on-one scope time with your consultant.
You will have abundant teaching opportunities through tumor boards and scope sessions to refine your teaching skills. Finally, you will have the opportunity to engage in ongoing and new research projects, publications, and presentations.
