Meet Our Fellows

Ten people from the Interventional Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Fellowship program in Arizona stand side by side for a group photo.

Our fellows come from a variety of backgrounds. One of our fellows shared about their journey.

What attracted you to gastroenterology? It was the dynamic nature of the field—balancing hands-on procedural skills with complex internal medicine.

What attracted you to Mayo Clinic for fellowship training? Its reputation for clinical excellence, strong procedural training, and emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration. The chance to learn from leaders in the field while practicing in a setting that values both innovation and mentorship made it the ideal place to continue my professional development.

What makes Mayo Clinic's Luminal Intervention Fellowship unique? It’s truly unique in its focus on high-volume, cutting-edge luminal endoscopy. The program offers immersive exposure to a wide range of advanced techniques, including third-space endoscopy. The ability to work closely with expert faculty while participating in research makes this fellowship an exceptional platform for future leaders in GI.

What does your future look like right now? I’m excited to continue advancing my skills in advanced endoscopy, contribute to innovation in minimally invasive GI care, and eventually return to a practice where I can combine clinical excellence, teaching, and mentorship. I hope to be part of a team that drives forward patient-centered innovation in GI and makes advanced care wildly accessible.
