Application Process

Positions

One position is available on a competitive basis each year in the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Fellowship, you must have:

  • Graduated from an accredited obstetrics/gynecology residency program in the United States
  • Previous research experience
  • Aspirations for a career in academic medicine

How to apply

The academic year begins in July.

You must apply through AAGL, which forwards applications to Mayo Clinic as they are received.

Your application should be submitted to AAGL in accordance with their application timeline.

  1. Visit the AAGL website and use the Fellowship Candidate Application. In addition to the standard application materials required by AAGL, Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education programs requires these application materials. If you are currently in a residency or have completed a residency in the last four to five years, one of your three letters of recommendation should be from your residency program director.
  2. Appointments are made through the Obstetrics/Gynecology Match, which is sponsored by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). You must register for the match in addition to applying through AAGL.
  3. Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited for an interview with the program director and selected faculty.
