Application Process

One position is available on a competitive basis each year in the Neuro-Ophthalmology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, Minnesota.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited residency training program in ophthalmology or neurology and eligibility for certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology or the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology is required before the fellowship is begun. International fellowship applicants must have equivalent training and have passed the ECFMG examination.

How to apply

We offer one full-time clinical fellowship position annually. The academic year is July 7 - July 6 yearly. 

Our clinical fellowship position for the July 2023 - June 2024 is full.

Our clinical fellowship position for July 2024 - June 2025 will be filled through the inaugural neuro-ophthalmology fellowship match which will be part of the AUPO Ophthalmology Fellowship Match through the SF Match company. All AUPO-compliant neuro-ophthalmology programs will be participating in this match and we anticipate applications for July 2024 start dates will open in August 2023.
