Meet Our Fellows

The Transplant Immunology Fellowship draws trainees from across the U.S. and around the world. While all our trainees have a love of learning and a compassionate approach to patient care, they come from diverse backgrounds, family status, and professional and personal interests.

Meet our current fellow and learn more about why they chose to train at Mayo Clinic.

What drew you to Mayo Clinic for fellowship training?

I chose Mayo Clinic because of its strong foundation in research-based medicine, comprehensive training in the field of transplant immunology, and an opportunity to learn all the required areas of accreditation for becoming a Certified Histocompatibility Lab Director.

What makes this program unique?

It is one of only four accredited ASHI director-in-training programs in North America.

What is living in Jacksonville, Florida, like for you?

Jacksonville is a coastal city with great weather and quality of life!

What does your future look like after completing this program?

After completing the Transplant Immunology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic, I will start a second fellowship in Molecular Genetic Pathology at the University of Chicago in July 2023. Then I plan to return to Florida to work as an Associate Lab Director.
