Stipend

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship provides a stipend of $81,000 that is paid to you in biweekly installments over the course of 12 months. There are no tuition fees.

A laptop computer is provided to you for the purposes of the program and returned to the program upon graduation.

Benefits

This position is eligible for Mayo Clinic benefit package, which includes medical, prescription, dental, and vision coverage. The package includes options for spouse and dependent coverage.

The program offers a $2,500 medical education stipend for participation or attendance at a national gastroenterology and hepatology conference during the training period.

Vacation, holiday and sick leave

Fellows are allotted 23 total days of paid time off for personal vacation (including professional interviews), holidays, and sick leave. Mayo Clinic recognizes six major holidays each year: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Fellows may be required to staff scheduled holidays, evenings, and weekends. A staffed holiday is not counted against the fellow’s allotment of 23 total days of paid time off.

Living expenses

Living expenses such as transportation, housing, and meals are the responsibility of the fellow.
