Program Director

I am a Rochester native and grew up just a few miles from Mayo Clinic’s downtown campus. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Gustavus Adolphus College and completed my Master of Medical Sciences – Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL.

I began my career as a Physician Assistant at Mayo Clinic - Urology in 2009. Throughout my career, my clinical practice has focused primarily on endourology and general urology. I have a longstanding passion for APP education and began developing our fellowship program in 2016. Since that time, I have been honored to serve as Program Director.  This role continues to be one of the most rewarding aspects of my professional life, as I truly enjoy mentoring and educating the next generation of urology providers.

During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Most weekends, you can likely find me at a hockey rink cheering on my three boys. I am a Peloton enthusiast, enjoy a good book, and live for summers on the lake.

Associate Program Director

I was born and raised in Rochester, Minnesota, and Mayo Clinic has always been part of my life. I received my Bachelor of Science degree through University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and my Master of Physician Assistant Studies through UW-La Crosse-Mayo Clinic-Gundersen Lutheran PA school.

I have been in many roles as a PA, with prior positions in emergency medicine, liver transplant hospitalist, pediatric ENT, acute care clinic, and primary internal medicine at the VA clinic. I joined Mayo Urology in January 2023, with my practice focusing on endourology (BPH and nephrolithiasis primarily) in addition to general urology.  I have a strong passion for education and work with NP and PA students in addition to our urology APP fellows.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, being active outdoors, gardening, and reading.

Medical Director

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and completed residency at Albany Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in sexual medicine and male infertility at Southern Illinois University and Mayo Clinic. It was during fellowship that I developed an early interest in combining patient care with education and mentorship. My clinical experiences during training helped shape my commitment to collaborative, patient-centered urologic care and sparked my long-term passion for supporting the next generation of advanced practice providers.

I joined Mayo Clinic in 2019, and since then I’ve been fortunate to serve in several education-focused roles. In addition to my role as Medical Director of our NP/PA Fellowship, I am also the Associate Program Director of our Urology Residency Program and Co-Director of the Andrology Fellowship. I’m passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences, fostering professional growth, and helping trainees feel supported as they develop confidence and independence in clinical practice. My work with Mayo Clinic’s urology residency and fellowship programs has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career, and I remain committed to building an environment where learners can thrive.

Outside of work, I’m a devoted foodie on an ongoing quest to discover my next favorite restaurant, and when I’m not exploring new spots, you can usually find me in the kitchen working to perfect my rustic bread (some loaves more successful than others). I love spending time with my family, and I’m always up for learning something new—whether it’s a skill, a hobby, or just a great recipe.
