Stipend and Benefits

Stipend

A stipend of $81,000 for the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Urology Fellowship is paid to you in biweekly installments over the course of one year. There are no tuition fees.

Equipment 

A laptop computer is provided to you for the purposes of the program and must be returned to the program upon graduation.

Benefits

This position is eligible for Mayo Clinic's benefit package, including options for coverage of your spouse and dependents (premiums apply).

The program offers a travel allowance for participation or attendance at a national urologic conference during the training period. The program offers funding for continuing medical education during the training period.

The program will also reimburse DEA fees if initial application or renewal deadline are required within the fellowship academic year.
Note: Fellows are expected to have access to a personal vehicle and personal cell phone for transportation and team communication, respectively, during the fellowship.

Vacation, holiday and sick leave

Fellows are allotted 21 total days of paid time off for personal vacation (including professional interviews), holidays, and sick leave. Mayo Clinic recognizes six major holidays each year: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Fellows may be required to staff scheduled holidays, evenings, and weekends. A staffed holiday is not counted against the fellow’s allotment of 21 total days of paid time off.

Living expenses

Living expenses such as transportation, housing, and meals are the responsibility of the fellow.
