From the Program Director

Welcome to the challenging practice of Internal Medicine pharmacy, where no day is the same as the last! As one of the largest integrated medical centers in the world, each day we help treat a variety of medical conditions and serve a diverse population from near and far.

As a PGY-2 IM pharmacy resident, you will join a team of enthusiastic and dedicated clinical pharmacists with well-established interdisciplinary relationships providing individualized patient care. Our preceptors are dedicated to offering residents with personalized and comprehensive learning experiences in patient care, education, and research.

Dedicated preceptors

Preceptors for the PGY-2 internal medicine residency provide direct patient care in multiple specialty areas and are actively involved in resident teaching and other scholarly activities. The preceptors come from diverse backgrounds and share numerous years of experience, clinical knowledge, and research interests. You have direct access to preceptors and mentors to optimize your learning experience.

More than 100 pharmacists at Mayo Clinic are certified by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in various practice areas. All residency program preceptors meet the qualifications outlined by the ASHP.
