Overview

The Behavioral Neurology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Phoenix, Arizona, provides training in the diagnosis and treatment of cognitive and neurobehavioral disorders. The fellowship provides one year of well-balanced educational, clinical, and research experience. A second year of fellowship may be considered, depending on your clinical and research interests and long-term career goals.

Unique program opportunities include:

Working with exceptional faculty including behavioral neurologists, as well as specialists in neuropsychology, neuroradiology, neuropathology, speech pathology, and psychiatry
A broad and complex patient mix that offers exposure to a wide spectrum of neurobehavioral disorders including degenerative disorders, vascular dementia, prion disorders, traumatic brain injuries, cognitive impairments, and more
Opportunities to participate in NIH-funded research programs
Training methods that include one-on-one interactions with staff, direct patient care, didactic course work, teaching files and conferences, and videotapes of interesting cases
Excellent opportunities for off-site rotations at one of Mayo Clinic's campuses in either Rochester, Minnesota, or Jacksonville, Florida

Program history

The Behavioral Neurology Fellowship's first fellow will begin training at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona, in July 2025. We plan to accept one new trainee per year.
