Responsibilities include patient management and teaching. You will gain extensive experience in all aspects of heart and lung transplantation, ventricular assist device, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. Additionally, you will participate in patient candidate selection, multi-organ donor procurement, surgery, postoperative care and post-transplant care, and adult cardiac surgery. You are expected to actively participate in all areas and are given supervised autonomy as your knowledge and experience grow.
This advanced fellowship prepares you to evaluate pertinent literature, develop and conduct original clinical or basic science research projects, and present such work at national and international academic meetings.

Certification
