Subspecialty Tracks
Clinician-Educator Track
The Clinician-Educator Track (CET) provides interested fellows with an opportunity to further their educational aptitudes and individual academic goals. In biweekly seminar, participants learn foundational adult learning theory, review different teaching styles for different learners and clinical environments, explore the many opportunities for educationally oriented academic projects, and enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded clinical educators. Outside of seminar, track participants are provided with individual mentorship on their teaching skills and evolving academic project.
Program structure includes:
- Biweekly seminar
- Designing a scholarly project with the assistance of a mentor and applying to the Clinical-Educator Track
- Protected time for a scholarly project
- Mentorship on dissemination (which may include presentation and/or publication) and reflective critique

Research Track
The Research Track provides fellows who are interested in clinical research with structured early exposure and mentorship in research with the goal of systematically developing a knowledge base and research skills while also meeting the educational goals of the fellowship program.
Program structure includes:
- Becoming familiar with the research protocols of the department and identifying a research mentor in an area of interest
- Designing a research proposal with the assistance of the mentor and applying it to the research track
- Protected time for research
- Participation in the Essentials of Clinical and Translational Science (ECaTS) course or other research course specific to the project, as well as a departmental course on writing and publishing research or writing winning grant proposals
- Research track mentorship meetings
- Mentorship in publishing and presenting the results of the research at a national meeting

Young Child Track
The Young Child Track provides interested fellows with a special opportunity to develop expertise in working with young children and their families in Year 2. Fellows will receive training and supervised clinical experience with resulting certification in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.
Program structure includes:
- PCIT training with goal of certification
- Dedicated clinic time for young child patients (PCIT)
- Supervision with track director
