"I took a chance in times of COVID-19 and virtual interviews, moving halfway across the country to complete my clinical chemistry training at Mayo Clinic. I absolutely made the best decision and wouldn't change a single thing if given the opportunity. The people here (both at work and in the community) are friendly, loving, and supportive - I immediately felt like family. The fellowship training is unparalleled, combining a large reference laboratory with multiple specialty labs and a plethora of unique patient cases. I feel prepared for my first director role and know that, when a question arises, I can call the Mayo Clinic fellowship faculty for years to come."

"Mayo Clinic fosters a collaborative culture that unites experts from all facets of medicine and science. During the clinical chemistry fellowship, I was able to build connections and learn from experts across a wide variety of specialties, ranging from core laboratory services to data science and artificial intelligence. These relationships and learning experiences were critical in obtaining my first job and have helped me launch a career that I never imagined would be possible. Applying to Mayo Clinic's clinical chemistry fellowship is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I would highly recommend this program to any prospective applicant."

"The Clinical Chemistry Fellowship at Mayo Clinic was my favorite stage of training in my career. Being surrounded every day by world experts and being able to learn from them and be challenged by them was the most rewarding experience. The consultants are incredibly approachable and passionate, which builds the perfect environment for learning and thriving. The community this fellowship offers truly feels like a family while holding high expectations from all of the team. Being one of the largest reference laboratories in the country, the exposure to cutting-edge technology and development is second to none. Lastly, I really appreciated the structure of the program and all the tools available during the fellowship."

The consultants and staff are very caring and supportive, which makes for a great learning environment. They love to share their expertise. You will have ample service experience, which will help you learn to communicate with providers and staff. Because Mayo Clinic also is one of the largest reference laboratories in the nation, you will get the chance to work with people from outside hospitals, helping to guide test selection and interpret test results. I'm so glad I got to train at Mayo Clinic!"
