Qualifications
To be eligible for the Endocrinology Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship, you must have successfully completed an accredited internal medicine residency program.
Also see general admissions requirements for Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education.
How to apply
The academic year begins in July.
The application and all supporting documentation must be submitted by July 15 of the year preceding the program start date.
You must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) for fellowship applicants. No matching services are used at this time.
- Visit the ERAS for fellowship applicants website. All applications to Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education programs must include these application materials.
- Appointments are made through the Endocrinology Match, included under the Medical Specialties Matching Program, which is sponsored by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). You must register for the match in addition to applying through ERAS.
- The Endocrinology Fellowship recruitment process participates in program signaling. While we give preference to applicants who signal our program, we also consider the overall strength of each applicant’s portfolio when deciding whether to extend an interview invitation. Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited to visit Mayo Clinic for a virtual personal interview with the program director and selected faculty.
