Application Process

Positions

Up to two positions are available on a competitive basis each year in the Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Arizona.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship, you must have successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited diagnostic radiology training program and be board certified or board eligible in diagnostic radiology at the onset of the fellowship.

How to apply

Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education does not process printed applications to this program. You must apply through Recruit, a third-party application service. The application and all supporting documentation must be submitted from Nov. 1 - Dec. 10, 2024, for the 2026-2027 fellowship program.

The Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship will adhere to the Society of Chairs of Academic Radiology Department (SCARD) guidelines for the application/interview process.

Complete the following steps to apply:

  1. Create an account to begin the online Application for Admission
  2. All applications to Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education programs must include these application materials. In addition to the standard application materials, this program requires that two of your letters of recommendation be from your radiology residency program director and another faculty member. These must be completed in the Recommendation Request section of Recruit. The recommenders will receive an email with a link to upload the letters.  
  3. After submission, view the required Supplemental Items and Documents.
    • Upload each required item in the Supplemental Items section
    • Complete the Recommendation Request section

Appointments are made through the Radiology Match, which is sponsored by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). For these tracks, you must register for the match in addition to applying through Recruit.

Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited to for a personal virtual interview with the program director and selected faculty.
