Overview
At Mayo Clinic’s campus in Rochester, Minnesota, our staff of pediatric gastroenterologists works closely with pediatric surgeons, radiologists, adult gastroenterologists, and a number of subspecialists to deliver the best possible patient care. The three-year Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship includes both hands-on clinical training and experience with clinical, translational, or basic research. You are able to work closely with faculty who serve as teachers and mentors.

The Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship is geared toward the training of successful academic pediatric gastroenterologists. We have shown a significant track record of attracting and training physicians who have pursued successful academic careers.
The program fulfills the training requirements as defined by the American Board of Pediatrics and is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, was established in 1985, and the Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship began in 1994. We anticipate that one trainee will complete this program annually.
