Meet Our Trainees

Our residents and faculty foster a collegial environment and education-focused culture that provides an inclusive learning experience. Training can be challenging, but our program is close-knit and each resident brings a dedication to providing stellar patient care as well as a collaborative learning experience.

Future career plans: Endourology fellowship

Hobbies and interests: Running/hiking, mountain biking, and hugging my sister's dogs

Favorite urology procedure: I love doing all the robotic cases

Future career plans: Endourology fellowship

Hobbies and interests: I love to workout, dance, travel to new places, and read books. I’m happiest when I’m spending time with my fiance, who just moved to Phoenix after three years of long distance.

Favorite Phoenix restaurant or activity: My favorite Phoenix activity is hiking! We are so lucky to have beautiful hikes even in the city. If you drive up to Flagstaff or Sedona, the hikes are even more stunning! Buck and Ryder is my favorite Phoenix restaurant, and they have an amazing happy hour.

Favorite Phoenix restaurant or activity: My favorite restaurant is DeBabel (BEST middle eastern food). Favorite activity is hiking in the Superstition Mountains, which are only five minutes away from Phoenix.

Hobbies and interests: All Chicago sports, lifting, hiking, cooking, ceramics - wheel throwing, Oh, and my passionate hatred for birds.

Future career plans: Deciding on fellowship but definitely want to go into academics. Also hopeful to open a free urologic clinic someday for those who don’t have access to care.

Hobbies and interests: Love dancing and exploring the outdoors. Arizona sunsets never cease to amaze me.

Favorite Phoenix restaurant or activity: Don’t have a favorite restaurant, but enjoy trying different cuisines. Any sushi restaurant would be my go to.

Favorite urology procedure: Hand assisted donor nephrectomy

Future career plans: I am currently interested in pursuing a fellowship in urologic oncology. I think for long-term goals, I am interested in staying in academics and continue doing research while mentoring future generation of urologists as well!

Favorite Phoenix restaurant or activity: My favorite activity is playing board games at this awesome cafe Danny told me about in downtown Phoenix, Snakes and Lattes. I also love exploring all the fun restaurants and cafes around town!

Future career plans: Time will tell! Currently considering a few different fields.

Hobbies and interests: Mountain biking, road biking, hiking, board gaming, pasta making, pizza firing, and reading

Favorite Phoenix restaurant or activity: Lamp Pizzeria (if not coming out of my own oven, of course), Brown's Ranch mountain biking trails (from Pima Dynamite Trailhead), and any park or splash pad with my kids.

Hobbies and interests: Almost anything outdoors - hiking, backpacking, trail running, science fiction and fantasy books, and a good brewery

Favorite Phoenix restaurant or activity: Favorite restaurants include Ta Carbon, De Babel, Pizzeria Bianco, City of Spice - so hard to choose! Favorite activities include sitting in the pool on a hot day with a book and a cold drink, or hanging out with my awesome coresidents.

Mayo Fellows Association (MFA)

The Mayo Fellows Association (MFA) offers a peer and social support network for residents and fellows and their families with social events, athletics, and advocacy. The MFA also holds an annual resident and fellow appreciation event open to all trainees with complimentary massages, stress-reducing activities, and social support.
