Tuition and fees

University of Minnesota enrollment

Students enrolled in this program will pay tuition through UMR. Information about tuition, fees, and financial aid is available on the UMR website.

Students enrolled with UMR should submit their FAFSA form to UMR. See UMR’s Financial Aid site to learn more.

Arizona State University, St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, University of Wisconsin-River Falls, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Winona State University, or in the certificate option

Students enrolled in Arizona State University, St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, University of Wisconsin-River Falls, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Winona State University, or in the certificate option will pay tuition through Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences.

Full program costs

The full estimated, multi-year program costs for the 21-month Echocardiography Program are $30,040. This total includes tuition, books, uniforms, and seminars. It does not include the cost of credentialing exams or personal costs, such as housing, food, and transportation. This total does not reflect scholarships.

Budget information

Estimated budget information is provided to allow you to completely prepare for your education. The estimated budget is the estimated cost of education-related expenses.

  • Personal and miscellaneous expenses include clothing, laundry and cleaning, personal hygiene and grooming, recreation, renter's insurance, student health insurance, and disability insurance.
  • Transportation expenses include gas, oil, maintenance, and insurance. 
  • Federal student loan fee is the average amount based on prior year borrowers and are a percentage of the total loan amount.
  • Dependent care and other expenses may be added to the budget on a case-by-case basis with supporting documentation. Contact Mayo Clinic's Financial Aid Office for further information.

Financial aid

The Office of Student Financial Aid and Registrar can provide more details about financial aid or incentives offered for the Echocardiography Program, including bachelor's degrees offered through SMUMN, UWRF, ASU, UWL, and WSU.

All students are encouraged to apply for outside scholarships.

Withdrawal and tuition refund

Students who find it necessary to withdraw from the program may be eligible to receive a refund of tuition depending upon the date of withdrawal. See the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science withdrawal and tuition refund policy.
