Edith Ford, PharmD

Edith Ford, PharmD

Hometown: Brunswick, GA

Pharmacy school: University of Georgia

About me: I worked as a radiologic technologist for five years after getting my bachelor's in radiography, and decided to change my career to pharmacy after working as a pharmacy specialist in the military. I like snacks, cats, and learning new pharmacy pearls, in that order.

Why Mayo Clinic? My father was a patient at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, and was impressed by his care there. My father is a very hard man to impress. I also have a strong interest in solid organ transplant and oncology, so Mayo Clinic was perfect for furthering my professional interests.

Zach Larson, PharmD

Zach Larson, PharmD

Hometown: Brentwood, CA

Pharmacy school: Idaho State University

About me: I'm a first-generation pharmacist interested in oncology and bone marrow transplant. Outside my professional life, I enjoy skateboarding, skiing, hiking, and going to concerts. I've been married for 5 years and just welcomed a brand-new baby girl into our little family. I can't forget our bernedoodle who is also a huge part of our lives.

Why Mayo Clinic? I chose Mayo Clinic because I knew it would allow me to be at the forefront of cutting edge care in oncology. I also appreciated the emphasis Mayo Clinic placed on research, as it is one of the shields represented by the Mayo Clinic logo. In addition to these career reasons, I knew I would connect with the RICH TIES values, which include teamwork.

Marie Storer, PharmD

Marie Storer, PharmD

Hometown: Saint Louis, MO

Pharmacy school: University of Colorado

About me: I enjoy being outdoors whenever I can. Often you will find me trying to locate a new hiking spot or cheering on my favorite sports teams. Come hockey season, I'm all in. You may also see me with my little furry Scottish Fold, Kirby, who has been deemed one of the most bougie cats you will meet. My pharmacy interests include critical care, emergency medicine, and pharmacogenomics.

Why Mayo Clinic? I did an APPE rotation during pharmacy school at Mayo Clinic and instantly fell in love with the institution. Mayo Clinic embodies its value — "The needs of the patient come first" and provides an environment where you feel welcome and learn something new every day.

Why Mayo Clinic? I love the innovation and collaboration at Mayo. I knew I wanted to be at an academic center where teaching, multidisciplinary teams, and research are priorities. Mayo combines all of these areas.
