What attracted you to gastroenterology? Gastroenterology appealed to me because it uniquely bridges medicine and surgery, allowing me to combine complex clinical decision-making with advanced procedural skills. It is also a field with many unanswered questions and significant opportunities for innovation, both in improving our understanding of diseases and in advancing endoscopic technologies and devices.

What attracted you to Mayo Clinic for fellowship training? Mayo Clinic attracted me because of its outstanding clinical training, exposure to complex cases, and culture of innovation. The combination of exceptional mentorship, advanced endoscopy expertise, and strong research opportunities made it the ideal place to continue my development as a gastroenterologist.

What makes the Mayo Clinic's pancreaticobiliary intervention Fellowship unique? Mayo Clinic's Pancreaticobiliary Intervention Fellowship is unique because of the complexity and breadth of cases seen at a major tertiary referral center. The high-volume exposure to advanced pancreaticobiliary disorders provides exceptional procedural experience, while the opportunity to train under internationally recognized mentors and leaders in the field creates an unparalleled learning environment.

What does your future look like? My goal is to build a career as an academic advanced endoscopist focused on clinical trials, device innovation, and procedural education. I hope to contribute to advancing the field through research, the development of new endoscopic technologies, and the training of the next generation of endoscopists.
