Application Process
Positions
There are six positions available on a competitive basis each year in the Anesthesiology Residency at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida.
Qualifications
To begin the Anesthesiology Residency at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida, you are required to complete one year (PGY-1) of basic clinical training at Mayo Clinic through the Internal Medicine Preliminary Residency.
How to apply
The application deadline is September 24, 2025. All supporting documentation must be submitted by October 1, 2025. The academic year begins July 1. You must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
- Visit the ERAS website. All applications to Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education programs must include these application materials. Applicants should submit at least one letter of recommendation from an anesthesiology faculty member and two from other core clerkship rotations or research experiences.
- Appointments are made through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Candidates must register through the NRMP website in addition to applying through ERAS.
- Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited to participate in in-person interviews with Mayo Clinic faculty, program leadership, and a chief of resident. Interviews are conducted between October and January each year.
2025-2026 interviews
Interviews for the 2025–2026 application cycle will be conducted in-person on our campus. Applicants will receive resources in advance to help them familiarize themselves with our program, including an overview of rotations, faculty, resident life, and living in the area.
During the interview day, applicants will meet with the program director, associate program directors, faculty, and chief residents. A campus tour and opportunities to interact with current residents will also be included. The evening before the interview, applicants will be invited to a resident social event to connect informally with members of the residency program.
