As a smaller-sized residency within an actively expanding hospital system, residents can form strong relationships early on with departmental faculty who are invested in our growth as radiologists. By completing my transitional year here at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, I was also able to work within diverse array of medical and surgical subspecialties. The opportunity to gain familiarity with many staff and systems here was valuable as an incoming radiology resident, especially knowing that I will be interfacing frequently with these same people throughout my training."
