What attracted you to gastroenterology?
Gastroenterology is a unique area of medicine that allows me to use both cognitive and procedural skills. I enjoy the fact that my clinical time will be very diverse ranging from liver clinic, pancreas clinic, IBD clinic or endoscopy etc.
What attracted you to Mayo Clinic for fellowship training?
I always came across research articles or clinical guidelines that were written by Mayo Clinic staffs. Reading many of these articles made me want to be trained among these thought leaders.
What makes the Mayo Clinic Gastroenterology Fellowship unique?
I think it is the opportunity to work with the experts in the field. For any clinical-related question, I can find experts in that specific field to discuss the case with. This has been an invaluable learning experience for me.
What is living in Rochester like for you?
I enjoy the fact that I don’t have to worry about traffic going to work. Mango Thai and Asian fusion restaurants are my favorite restaurants when I crave Thai food. Their dishes are really amazing.
What does your future look like right now?
I am planning to pursue liver transplant training after GI fellowship.
