Why Mayo Clinic: I chose Mayo Clinic because of the personalized training across a variety of pediatric subspecialty clinics and the opportunity to participate in high-quality research. During my time here, I’ve developed competency in the behavioral health treatment of severe anxiety, chronic pain, and complex medical conditions. I am especially grateful for the outstanding mentorship that has enabled me to pursue specialized experiences in pediatric cardiology. The two-year structure of the fellowship has also been invaluable to me. This program has provided the time and support for me to grow as a clinician and to feel prepared for the next steps as an early career psychologist serving patients and families.

Adult Neuropsychology Fellowship

Graduate school: Université de Montréal

Internship: Montreal Geriatrics Institute, Douglas Mental Health Institute

Why Mayo Clinic: I initially did not plan to come to Mayo. But Mayo had other plans for me. I had the most serendipitous encounter with my (now) research mentor through social media, which led me to first do a research postdoc in neurology at Mayo. I was immediately in awe of the brilliance, kindness, and empathy of my colleagues. This eventually led me to join this clinical fellowship program, which made me an exponentially better clinician-researcher. The work environment here is nothing short of exceptional and truly impactful for patient care. I will forever be grateful to all the colleagues, mentors, and friends I made along the way. They profoundly changed how I provide patient care and conduct clinical research.

Future plans: Neurology research
