Academic training uses a scholarly approach through tumor conferences, literature reviews, journal clubs, clinical evaluations, surgical judgment, and clinical analysis.

During weekly sarcoma rounds, fellows facilitate case presentations by residents from the previous week on their respective services. These highly instructive rounds are multidisciplinary and generate extensive discussion and numerous references to pertinent literature.
