Application Process

Positions

One fellowship position is offered on a competitive basis each year in the Breast Imaging Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the Breast Imaging Fellowship, you must have completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited diagnostic radiology training program and be board certified or board eligible in diagnostic radiology at the onset of the fellowship.

How to apply

Appointments to this program are made through the Radiology Fellowship Match which is sponsored by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) and the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI). The SBI fellowship match program website provides a wealth of information about the breast fellowship match. We do follow important dates set forth each year by the SBI.

Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education does not process printed applications to this program. You must apply through Recruit, a third-party application service.

The application and all supporting documentation deadline is Dec. 15, and should be submitted at least 1.5 years preceding the program start date. If you're unable to meet this deadline, contact maly.candice@mayo.edu.

Complete the following steps to apply:

  1. Create an account to begin the online Application for Admission
  2. All applications to Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education programs must include these application materials
  3. After submission, view the required Supplemental Items and Documents
    • Upload each required item in the Supplemental Items section
    • Complete the Recommendation Request section

In addition to the standard application materials required by Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education, this program requires:

  • Two letters of recommendation, one from your radiology residency program director as well as from another faculty member. These must be completed in the Recommendation Request section. Each recommender will receive an email with a link to upload a letter. 

Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited for a personal interview with the program director and selected faculty.
