Application Process

Position

One fellowship position is offered on a competitive basis each year in the Breast Imaging Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the Breast Imaging Fellowship, you must have completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited diagnostic radiology training program and be board certified or board eligible in diagnostic radiology at the onset of the fellowship.

Applicants should also review the general admissions requirements for Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education.

Academic Year 27-28 application procedure

Appointments to this program are made through the Radiology Fellowship MatchOpens in new tab  which is sponsored by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) and the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI)Opens in new tab .  Mayo Clinic follows the important dates established each year by the SBI.

Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education does not process printed applications to this program. You must apply through Recruit, a third-party application service.

Complete the following steps to apply:

  1. Create an account to begin the online Application for Admission
  2. All applications to Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education programs must include these application materials
  3. After submission, view the required Supplemental Items and Documents
    • Upload each required item in the Supplemental Items section
    • Complete the Recommendation Request section

In addition to the standard application materials required by Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education, this program requires:

  • Two letters of recommendation, one from your radiology residency program director, as well as from another faculty member. These must be completed in the Recommendation Request section. Each recommender will receive an email with a link to upload a letter. 

Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited for a personal interview with the program director and selected faculty.

Academic Year 28-29 application procedure

Application Service: FellowshipsCAS

Our fellowship program now participates in FellowshipsCAS, a centralized application service for fellowship programs. Applications for the upcoming cycle will be submitted through FellowshipsCAS.

Applications can be submitted beginning Oct. 1, 2026. The application deadline for this program is Dec. 1. If you are unable to meet this deadline, contact Caton.Brittany@mayo.edu.

The fellowship continues to offer one position annually on a competitive basis at Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida.
