Accreditation

The Emergency Medicine Residency program holds initial accreditation status by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

Certification

The Emergency Medicine Residency program fulfills the training requirements as defined by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Trainees who complete our residency program are eligible to take the qualifying exam and subsequent certification exam from the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Program history

The Emergency Medicine Residency will welcome its inaugural residency class in the summer of 2027 for the 2027-2028 academic year. This will be a four-year program with the first graduating class in 2031.

Our program welcomes five new emergency medicine residents each year, totaling 20 residents at full complement. This program size allows for individualized training and mentorship opportunities while also providing a robust resident community for peer learning and support.
