From the program director

Welcome, I'm excited that you are interested in our program. Congratulations on choosing pediatrics, we really are so lucky to work with children and their families every day of our careers.

I came to Rochester in July of 1999 for residency. I knew up front that I would work with great clinicians and have opportunities to individualize my residency to match my future goals, so it was no surprise that I felt well prepared for fellowship training in peds endocrinology after residency. Mayo and Rochester surpassed all my expectations during training, and that’s why 25 years on I am still here!

I found community and support in the residency and in the faculty who shared their knowledge and passion. We take care of patients with common and rare conditions and love working together as a team to make sure every child receives the care they need and deserve.

It has been a privilege to be program director for the last 5 years. We have a great team of passionate educators and resident supporters leading the program. I love recruiting enthusiastic, curious residents who are patient-centered team players. My absolute favorite part of the job is to connect residents with resources and mentors to individualize their training experience and achieve their personal goals. I promise you that our team will work hard to meet and exceed your expectations!
