Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine's medical education (M.D.) program is fully accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a regional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. HLC assures and advances the quality of higher education by conferring accreditation on degree-granting, postsecondary educational institutions in the North Central region of the United States.
