The critical care service includes a core of physicians who care for critically ill patients in the intensive care units. Daily activities include morning and afternoon rounds, didactic lectures and tutorials, and bedside clinical teaching.

Potential exposure to a wide variety of patient illness and ability to observe and potentially participate in procedural aspects of critical care medicine.
Culinary medicine is critical to the maintenance of health, representing a cornerstone that marries nutrition through cooking with nutrition and health care principles. The experience will be longitudinal in nature and encompass hands-on, interactive courses with self-directed opportunities.
