Students rotate through multiple sections of the Department of Radiology, including chest, musculoskeletal, breast imaging, GI, body CT, ultrasound, MR, neuroradiology, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine.

The Distinction in Biomedical Ethics Track is designed to provide students with the opportunity to gain additional bioethics knowledge and specialized research skills in bioethics beyond the content provided in the standard curriculum.

Echocardiography: Valve Clinic

1-2 weeks | Selective

During this outpatient experience students have the ability to observe variety of echocardiographic techniques with exposure to variety of cardiovascular diseases including valvular disease, cardio-oncology, and congenital patients.

Emergency Medicine

University of Florida Health is an urban-based teaching facility offering an emergency medicine rotation which is designed for the student interested in emergency medicine as a career.

Emergency Medicine

1-2 weeks | Selective

Students will shadow physicians in the emergency department and assist with evaluations, examinations, and procedures as the situation allows. Students will spend time in the Simulation Center with EM faculty, learning and practicing various skills, as scheduled.

Emergency Medicine

Students will encounter pathology ranging from obscure diseases to more common illnesses that present to the Emergency Department. Students will observe the evaluation and treatment of critically ill patients from admission into the Emergency Department to discharge at Mayo Clinic Hospital.

Emergency Medicine Skills

This selective provides hands-on exposure to the field of emergency medicine. Procedures (e.g., endotracheal intubation, vascular access, lumbar punctures, and suturing) will be learned in the simulation center, while a shadowing experience provides patient contact.
