About the department
The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Mayo Clinic is a highly integrated, collaborative group of adult and pediatric anesthesiologists. As a resident or fellow in one of our programs, you'll be part of a team that includes more than 200 staff physicians (including approximately 40 critical care anesthesiologists), more than 50 resident physicians, more than 200 nurse anesthetists, and about 150 respiratory therapists. All are committed to providing the best care possible to patients requiring anesthesia, intensive care, and pain management.
