About the department

The Department of Urology includes subspecialty urologists who have additional training in specialized surgical techniques. Faculty members collaborate with other Mayo specialists in areas such as internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, geriatrics, and oncology to meet the complex care needs of patients. The department also has a long history of urologic disease research, with faculty focused on developing improved diagnostic and surgical treatment options.
