IntroductionMy research interests revolve around CT imaging technology and its many clinical applications. As director of Mayo Clinic's CT Clinical Innovation Center, I lead a multidisciplinary team on projects seeking to detect and quantify disease using CT imaging. The first whole-body, high-flux photon-counting CT system was installed in my lab in 2014, and I have played a key role in the development of photon-counting CT and its applications since that time. I am a fellow of the American College of Radiology, the American Association of Physicists in Medicine, and the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering. I have over 500 peer-reviewed papers and multiple NIH grants related to CT imaging. |

IntroductionI am a professor of physiology and BME and direct the Tissue Repair and Mechanobiology Lab. We are a multidisciplinary team focused on tissue fibrosis and repair, with particular interest in fibroblast and matrix biology. Our lab works across the discovery to translation spectrum, bridging cellular and molecular studies with human disease models. Our training focus is rigorous science within a personalized environment that facilitates broad exploration of career options. My goal is for mentees to find fulfilling careers in science and medical research. As indicators of success, I have trained multiple students and fellows over the past few years who have gone on to faculty and research scientist positions in academia and industry. |
